King Abdullah gifts $20 million for reconstruction of Mauritanian city

The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) and the government of Mauritania signed an agreement in Nouakchott on Tuesday to begin the implementation of a project to rebuild Tintan City, which was devastated by flooding two years ago. The project is being funded by a gift of $20 million from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. The agreement was signed by Deputy Director General of the SFD’s Technical Department Fawzi Bin Olayan Al-Saud and Director General of the Mauritanian Foundation for the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of Tintan City Moussa Ghe in the presence of Mauritanian Minister of Housing, Construction and Land Reclamation Ismail Ould Badah.
