GCC Monetary Council headquarters opened in Riyadh

On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf opened the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Monetary Council’s headquarters in Riyadh today. Addressing the gathering, Al-Assaf expressed hope that the creation of the GCC Monetary Union will lead to the highest degree of economic integration possible between GCC member states.

The inauguration event was attended by GCC ministers of finance, governors of central banks and other senior officials.
