Saudi Arabia donates $300,000 to anti-piracy fund

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has offered $300,000 for the Trust Fund to Support Initiatives of States Countering Piracy off the Coast of Somalia. Specifically, the financial aid will be used to support the legal process and bring pirates to justice. The donation was announced by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral Relations Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Kabeer during his speech at the 3rd Conference on the Fight Against the Phenomenon of Maritime Piracy. The meeting was held in Dubai recently under the theme “Anti-Piracy: A Continuing Task to Build Regional Capacity.”
