OIC pledges $350 million for Somalia anti-starvation program

The Jeddah-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has pledged $350 million for a Somalia anti-starvation program, it was announced last night. In a press conference in Istanbul to mark the conclusion of the Somalia Donors Summit, OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu expressed hope that the assistance would soon reach the $500 million target.
