Over five million visas granted for this year’s Umrah

August 7, 2012

The number of Umrah (minor pilgrimage) visas issued by the Kingdom this year has reached more than five million, up 14.3 percent from the same period last year. This figure was reported by Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Khalid bin Saud bin Khalid, who predicted that the number of Umrah performers will continue to increase in the coming years as a result of the expansion and development projects initiated by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz at both the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.
