Saudi Arabia pledges $5 billion in aid to Egypt

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz issued a directive today to provide $5 billion in economic assistance for Egypt.  The Kingdom’s aid package will be made up of $1 billion in cash, $2 billion in oil and gas products, and $2 billion interest-free deposit in the Central Bank of Egypt.  The aid package was announced by Saudi Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf.
