King Abdullah meets President Al-Sisi in Cairo

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz met this evening with Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi at Cairo International Airport.  At the outset of their meeting King Abdullah congratulated President Al-Sisi on his election.  President Al-Sisi thanked King Abdullah for his support for Egypt and its people.  President Al-Sisi said that Egypt will not forget the Kingdom’s strong support extended to his country.  The two leaders then discussed issues of mutual interests as well as the prospects for greater cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal; Prince Faisal bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Kabeer; Secretary General of the National Security Council Prince Bandar bin Sultan; Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Mohammed; Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf; and Saudi Ambassador to Egypt and the Kingdom's Permanent Representative to the Arab League Ahmed Kattan.  The Egyptian delegation included Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahleb; Minister of Defense and Military Production Gen. Sedky Sobhy; Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry; and Minister of Finance Hany Kadry.
