Saudi Arabia provides UNHCR $10 million grant for Pakistani relief

Saudi Arabia has extended a $10,841,096 grant to assist displaced Pakistanis affected by violence and instability in the north-western part of the country. The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) and the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) signed the memorandum of understanding in Jeddah today.  Under terms, the grant will be used to provide 2,500 tents, 379,200 blankets, 126,400 plastic cover and 20,000 food baskets to be distributed during Ramadan.

The Kingdom is the leading contributor in the global relief effort.
