Prince Saud Al-Faisal receives Egyptian Foreign Minister

Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal received Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohammed Kamel Amr in Jeddah yesterday. During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and other topics of common interest.

Foreign Minister Amr later held a press conference at the Egyptian Consulate, during which he praised the strength of Saudi-Egyptian ties and insisted that the relationship can overcome any problems that may disturb its harmony. He pointed to the depth of Saudi investment and its active role in supporting the Egyptian economy.

Foreign Minister Amr characterized his talks with Prince Saud as productive, noting that they reviewed the situation of Egyptians living in the Kingdom, the Arab-Israeli conflict, and other regional issues. He also extended thanks to the Kingdom for its support of Egypt during its electoral period. He confirmed that about 160,000 Egyptian voters living in the Kingdom were able to vote successfully.
