GCC leaders and heads of delegations arrive in Riyadh

The leaders and heads of delegations of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states arrived in Riyadh today to attend the 12th Consultative Meeting of GCC Leaders. The delegations were led by Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah; Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani; Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa; UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; and Omani Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs Fahd bin Mahmud Al-Saeed.

At King Khalid International Airport, they were received by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz; Second Deputy Prime Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz; Riyadh Governor Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz; and GCC Secretary General Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Attiyah.

Upon arrival at the reception hall, the delegations were met by a number of top officials, including Deputy Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General Prince Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz; Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal; Advisor to the King Prince Abdul-Ilah bin Abdulaziz; Chief of General Intelligence Prince Miqren bin Abdulaziz; Minister of Education Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Mohammed; and Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs Prince Dr. Mansour bin Miteb bin Abdulaziz.

Finally, the delegation members were escorted to Al-Dir’iya Palace, where they met with Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz.
