Crown Prince congratulates King Abdullah on eighth anniversary of his reign

Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz and scores of other officials congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz today on the eighth anniversary of his ascension to the throne. In a speech on the occasion, the Crown Prince highlighted the progress made during the King’s reign. “These have been years of blessing, having witnessed developments, civic refinements and statutory advancements in all fields,” he said. “All people inside and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have sensed the Saudi people’s love of King Abdullah, a love that is even shared by Arab and Muslim people.”

Crown Prince Salman continued, “We love Abdullah bin Abdulaziz because he is the leader who cares for his homeland, religion and our relations with other people and nations. He is always committed to promoting peace and attempting to stave off human injustice everywhere. We love him because he is the King of righteousness.”

In his own statement, Saudi Ambassador to the United States Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir expressed his deepest congratulations to King Abdullah. He observed that the King is known for his care of the people and his commitment to improving their lives. Ambassador Al-Jubeir highlighted the many accomplishments of the past few years, including the expansion of the Two Holy Mosques, the construction and distribution of additional housing units, the allocation of a huge budget for education, and the promotion and development of health services.
