Shoura Council delegation meets members of U.S. Senate

A delegation of the Shoura Council, led by Chairman of the Saudi-American Parliamentary Friendship Committee Osamah Al-Kurdi, met in Washington today with a number of members of United States Senate. The two sides discussed issues of common interest and reviewed bilateral relations, especially in regard to relations between the Shoura Council and the U.S. Congress.

The Saudi delegation also met today with officials at the U.S. Department of Commerce, with whom they discussed U.S.-Saudi economic cooperation, and visited the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where developments in the Middle East were reviewed.

The Saudi Embassy in Washington held a dinner reception yesterday evening in honor of the Shoura Council delegation.
