Saudi ministers meet with U.S. congressman

Minister of Commerce and Industry Abdullah Alireza met in Riyadh today with Representative Keith Ellison (D-Minnesota) and his accompanying business delegation from the state of Minnesota. They reviewed issues pertaining to trade and industrial relations between the Kingdom and the U.S.
In 2007, the volume of trade between the two countries totaled SR 193.28 million [US $51.56 million].
Rep. Ellison and his business delegation later met with Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf. They reviewed economic cooperation and trade between the Kingdom and Minnesota, as well as between the Kingdom and the U.S.
Shura Council Vice-Chairman Dr. Bandar Hajjar also received the delegation.
The mission was organized and led by the U.S. Saudi Arabian Business Council, a non-profit organization with offices in Washington, D.C. and Riyadh. The group’s mission is to develop, foster and expand trade and investment between Saudi Arabia and the U.S.
