Crown Prince receives Commander of U.S. Central Command

Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz received the Commander of U.S. Central Command, Gen. Lloyd J. Austin III, and his accompanying delegation in Riyadh yesterday. At the outset of the meeting, Gen. Austin offered his condolences on the death of Prince Badr bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. Then, issues of bilateral concern were reviewed.
The meeting was attended by Chief of the Crown Prince’s Court Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz; Chief of the General Staff Gen. Hussein bin Abdullah Al-Qabil; Director General of the Office of the Minister of Defense Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al-Bunyan; and U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom James B. Smith.
Afterwards, the U.S. delegation held a meeting with Commander of the National Guard Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
Today, Gen. Austin was received by Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani. During the meeting, the two sides discussed U.S.-GCC relations and the latest regional developments.
