Second Deputy Prime Minister receives U.S. Commerce Secretary

Second Deputy Prime Minister Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz received U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker and her accompanying delegation at his palace in Riyadh today. The two sides reviewed bilateral cooperation and other topics of common interests.
Secretary Pritzker held a separate meeting with Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah. During the meeting, they discussed ways of enhancing U.S.-Saudi commercial, trade and industrial relations, particularly by encouraging the private sectors to establish joint projects.
Secretary Pritzker also met with Governor of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) Abdullatif bin Ahmed Al-Osman, with whom she discussed boosting trade relations.
The volume of trade between the Kingdom and the United States amounted to SR 282 billion [$75.2 billion] in 2013.
