Ban Ki-Moon thanks King Abdullah for support of UN counterterrorism efforts

Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal met with United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon this evening, in advance of the start of the Geneva II Conference in Montreux Switzerland. The Secretary General expressed his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz for his $100 million donation to support the UN International Counterterrorism Center. The two sides discussed a number of other issues, including the Syrian peace process, Yemen’s national dialogue, and the importance of supporting Lebanese stability.
