GCC appropriates $164 million for Gaza projects

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states’ Program for the Reconstruction of the Gaza Strip has approved $164 million in financing for projects aimed at assisting Palestinians in Gaza. This decision came at the conclusion of the Program’s first meeting, held today at the headquarters of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) in Jeddah. The projects approved by the Program’s Coordinating Committee encompassed the health, education, water & sanitation, electricity, transportation, agriculture, housing and municipal services sectors.
