January 20, 2013
The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) will provide more than $1.8 million to help displaced people from Rakhine State in Myanmar. The assistance will be provided under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in Riyadh yesterday between the SFD and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). The funding will allow the UNHCR to build temporary and permanent housing for approximately 75,000 displaced persons.
