Arab Summit issues Kuwait Declaration

Delegates at the Arab Economic, Social and Development Summit in Kuwait issued their final declaration today, calling for increased Arab integration and development.


Arab League Secretary General Amr Mousa presented the "Kuwait Declaration" during the summit’s closing session.

The Declaration stressed the importance of elevating the standard of living for Arab citizens, granting priority to joint Arab investments, and allowing for greater participation by the private sector and civil society in economic and social development.

Regarding social and educational progress, the document called for the development of educational systems able to keep up with the latest developments in science and technology, as well as the greater empowerment of women and youths.
