King Abdullah appoints new governors for Madinah and Eastern Provinces

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz today relieved Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz of his position as Governor of the Eastern Region, upon his request, and appointed Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz as the new Governor of the Eastern Province, with the rank of Minister. King Abdullah also relieved Madinah Governor Prince Abdulaziz bin Majed bin Abdulaziz of his position, upon his request, and named Prince Dr. Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz as Governor of Madinah Province at a rank of minister.
Prior to his appointment as Governor, Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz served as Chief of the Court of the Crown Prince and Special Adviser to the Crown Prince.
