December 21, 2008

The Training College of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences and the Council of Arab Interior Ministers will jointly organize a training course on combating terrorism. Three days of activities and classes will be held in Tunis, beginning tomorrow.

Dr Abdulaziz Al-Ghamdi, the president of the university, said the training course comes in line with the Arab strategy for fighting terrorism. He quoted the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, who said that the crime of terrorism originates from people who have sick and deviant minds.

The training course will cover several topics, including terror cells, the role of religion in fighting terrorism, the contradiction of terrorism with Islamic law and the Saudi experience in dealing with extremism.

Naif Arab University has organized more than 260 training courses and workshops in its efforts to fight terrorism.
