The ferries, “Al-Riyadh” and “Al-Qahirah” will operate between the Saudi port of Dhiba and the Egyptian port of Safaga. The vessels are expected to further increase trade and investment between the Kingdom and Egypt.

The ferries, built by Australian shipbuilder Austal at a cost of $130 million, can carry 555 tons and have a capacity 1,220 passengers and 200 small cars.
