Shura Council discusses financial crisis in regular meeting

The Shura (Consultative) Council held a regular meeting in Riyadh yesterday under the chairmanship of Dr. Saleh bin Homaid.

 

The Council welcomed directives by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to deposit $2.7 billion [SR 10 billion] into the Saudi Bank of Credit & Saving to enable the bank to help citizens obtain loans for family needs, including marriage and home repairs.

In addition, the Council lauded the appointment of Dr. Bandar Hajjar as deputy chairman of the Shura Council at the rank of minister. The Royal Court announced Dr. Hajjar’s appointment on October 25.
