GCC, Jordanian, Moroccan foreign ministers meet in Kuwait

Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal led a delegation to the 129th meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jordan and Morocco in Kuwait today. The session in being held in preparation for next month’s 34th GCC Supreme Council summit, which will also be held in Kuwait.
In his address, GCC Secretary General Abdullatif Al-Zayani said that Gulf countries hope to ramp up cooperation with Jordan and Morocco. “The leaders of the GCC countries are eager to consolidate such relations and to develop achievements, including a strategic partnership,” he stated.
While in Kuwait, the Saudi Foreign Minister met with Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah; Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah; Jordanian King Abdullah II; Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judah; Omani Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah; Bahraini Foreign Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa; Qatari Foreign Minister Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Atiyyah; and UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Anwar Mohammed Qarqash.
