Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Asheikh warned Muslims against deviant ideology and called on them to adhere to the true religion and Sunnah (teachings of the Prophet) at his annual Arafat sermon at the Namira Mosque.

In his sermon, Sheikh Al-Asheikh, who also serves as Chairman of the Senior Ulema (Religious Scholars), said the greatest challenge facing the Muslim community lately is from deviant ideology and that adherence to the right principles is one of the most important duties of a Muslim.
Sheikh Al-Asheikh added that one of the greatest deviations is politicizing the Hajj, destabilizing its security and causing chaos and riot during the Hajj. His eminence stressing that the Saudi leadership will not allow any evil-doers to desecrate or destabilize the security of the holy land.
The Mufti added that terrorism is one of the most dangerous challenges facing the Muslim community and that Muslims and peoples all over the world have suffered from terrorism.
