10,000 food baskets, blankets delivered to Afghanistan

Following the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi Commission for the Relief of the Afghan People recently delivered 10,000 food baskets and 10,000 blankets to Afghanistan. The Saudi Ambassador in Kabul, Mansour bin Saleh Al-Safi, handed over the consignment to Afghan government officials. The aid included rice, beans, sugar, cooking oil and green tea and is valued at $950,000. This delivery represents the third phase of the Kingdom’s relief campaign to assist flood victims. The Saudi Commission has already implemented a number of relief projects in Afghanistan worth SR 20 million [$5.33 million].
