1,165,172 pilgrims have arrived in Saudi Arabia from abroad

The Passports Department announced in a statement that, as of yesterday, 1,165,172 pilgrims have entered the Kingdom from abroad to perform Hajj. A total of 1,084,013 pilgrims arrived at airports, while 67,159 came by land and 14,000 traveled by sea.

The first group of pilgrims being hosted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has already arrived in the Kingdom. The 50 Sri Lankans are part of a group of 2,400 pilgrims who have been invited to perform Hajj rituals this year at the King’s expense.
