Saudi Arabia ranks 13th in IFC’s “Doing Business” report

Saudi Arabia offers the 13th best investment environment out of 183 countries surveyed, according to the “Doing Business 2010” report issued yesterday by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), an affiliate of the World Bank. The Kingdom tops the list of both Arab and Middle Eastern countries. Since the Kingdom began reforming its economic sector, with an eye towards attracting investment, it has advanced from 67th place on the list (2005) to 38th place (2007) to 16th place (2008) to the 13th spot this year.
