Court convicts 24 on terrorism-related charges

A specialized court in Riyadh today convicted 24 defendants, including an American and a Yemeni, of terrorism-related crimes and ‎sentenced them to between two and 27 years in prison.  The defendant were convicted of ‎membership in one of the Kingdom’s most violent terrorist cell.  The defendants were convicted of membership in extremists groups in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, travelling or planning to ‎travel abroad to joint terrorist-led war, setting up a terrorist cell to target oil pipelines and oil workers, terror financing, weapons offenses, and rendering assistance to wanted terrorists.

The ‎defendants ‎have thirty days to appeal their convictions.
