Prince Mohammed bin Nayef offers condolences to family of border guard

Assistant Minister of Interior for Security Affairs Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz paid a visit yesterday evening to the family of the late Corporal Majed bin Mubarak Mahfouz Al-Rahmani at their home in Al-Laith governorates. Al-Rahmani, a border guard, was killed on the 8th of Ramadan. Prince Mohammed conveyed the condolences of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and noted that Al-Rahmani had participated in 112 successful security operations targeting illegal border crossers and drugs and weapons traffickers over the past two years. Prince Mohammed also announced that, by the directive of King Abdullah, the family will be paid SR 1,100,000 [$293,314], including SR 100,000 [$26,665] in immediate assistance, SR 500,000 [$133,324] to purchase a proper house and SR 500,000 [$133,324] to settle personal debts and to take care of Al-Rahmani’s parents and children.
