Saudi Arabia donates more than 10 million polio vaccines to Pakistan

The Saudi Embassy in Islamabad delivered more than 10 million polio vaccines to Pakistani authorities today, as a gift from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to help the country’s anti-polio program. The ceremony was attended by Saudi Charge d’Affaires to Pakistan Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Khalidi and the Director of Pakistan’s National Vaccination Program, Dr. Ijaz Ahmed Khan. In a statement, Al-Khalidi said that the gift was donated to the Pakistani people under the royal directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
