King Abdullah: Saudi Arabia is determined to root out terrorism

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, in an address to the Saudi people and Islamic world on the eve of the holy month of Ramadan, said the Kingdom will not allow terrorists to terrorize Muslims or harm Saudi citizens or expatriates who are living in peace in the Kingdom.  King Abdullah added that terrorists are misusing the religion of Islam as a cover for their vested interests and those who misuse Islam do not “differentiate between reform and terrorism and do not realize that those calls aiming at disturbing communities with the different parties and also aiming to sow division among Muslims.” 

King Abdullah emphasized the Kingdom’s rejection of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and will not allow a group of terrorists to take Islam “as a shelter in order to serve their personal interests to horrify the Muslims or target our homeland or any citizens or residents.  We also announce that we are continuing with the help of Allah Almighty in addressing and fighting all forms of this scourge, which is hidden behind the teachings of Islam where Islam is innocent of this scourge.”  King Abdullah added that “with the great determination, togetherness and cooperation of the people of this great nation, will expel this scourge in their dark holes.”
