Minister of Health successfully separates Moroccan conjoined twins

The surgical separation of Moroccan conjoined twins was successfully completed today at the King Abdulaziz Medical City of the National Guard. The operation, funded personally by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, was performed by a Saudi specialist medical team led by Minister of Health Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah.
The twins, Azizah and Saeedah, were conjoined at the chest, abdomen, heart tissues, gastrointestinal tract, liver-canals, duodenum, pancreas, and parts of small the small intestine. Following the thirteen hour surgery, the children were reported to be in stable condition. In a statement, the parents of the twins thanked King Abdullah and Dr. Al-Rabeeah for their humanitarian efforts.
This is the twenty-second time Dr. Al-Rabeeah has successfully separated conjoined twins.
