MOI announces arrest of 125 drug smugglers

The official spokesman of the Ministry of Interior announced on Sunday that security forces have carried out numerous operations over the past two months that have led to the arrest of 125 suspects involved in drug smuggling and trading. The suspects include 76 Saudis, 16 Yemenis, 9 Pakistanis, 4 Syrians, 4 Iraqis, 3 Sudanese, 3 Egyptians, 3 Turks, 2 Omanis, a Kuwaiti, a Somali, an Eritrean, an Ethiopian and a Bengali. The MOI spokesman added that these operations were carried out in many provinces throughout the Kingdom. Saudi authorities seized millions of amphetamine pills along with large quantities of hashish and pure heroin.
