U.S. trade official meets with Saudi ministers

Minister of Commerce and Industry Abdullah Alireza met with U.S. Undersecretary of Commerce for International Trade Francisco Sanchez in Riyadh yesterday. They reviewed aspects of trade and industrial cooperation between the Kingdom and the U.S. In 2008, the volume of bilateral trade amounted to SR 254.63 billion [$67.9 billion], including SR 195.52 million [$52.13 billion] of exports and SR 59.12 billion [$15.76 billion] of imports.
During his trip to the Kingdom, Sanchez also met with Minister of Transport Dr. Jubarah Al-Suraysiri and Minister of Health Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah. He was accompanied by a U.S. trade delegation representing more than 10 companies specializing in constructing health facilities and producing medicines and medical equipment.
