Work begins on $270 million Saudi-funded road in Jordan

The foundation stone for the re-establishment and development of the Saudi-funded Al-Zarqa-Al-Azraq-Al-Omari road in Jordan was laid yesterday evening. The project will be financed by a grant from the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD). The road will stretch 110 kilometers [69 miles] and is estimated to cost $270 million. During the ceremony, Jordanian Prime Minister Abdullah Al-Nosoor thanked the Kingdom for its support for Jordan.
