GCC conference on swine influenza begins

Minister of Health Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah opened a conference in Riyadh focused on the swine flu, during which he offered assurances that the Kingdom has mobilized all health and other relevant sectors to protect the homeland, its residents and its visitors.
During a speech at the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Scientific Conference on the Study of Precautionary Measures Against the Spread of Influenza, Dr. Al-Rabeeah highlighted the importance of regional cooperation on health issues.
Scientists from the GCC countries, the Arab World, the World Health Organization (WHO), the U.S. and Canada are participating in the conference.
