MoH confers with WHO officials on coronavirus

Members of the National Committee for Contagious Diseases at the Ministry of Health held teleconferences yesterday with experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva and Cairo as part of the ministry’s efforts to report on developments regarding coronavirus (MERS). The two sides reviewed the cases of coronavirus that have emerged in Jeddah, with the Saudi officials offering reassurances that the ministry is taking the appropriate measures according to the nature and pattern of the disease. Since the appearance of coronavirus, the Kingdom has been in continuous coordination with the WHO and has shared all new developments with the public at large. During the meeting, Saudi officials invited WHO experts to visit the Kingdom for a consultative meeting at the end of the month in Riyadh.
