Saudi school in Pakistan holds charity bazaar in support of orphans

The female section of the Islamabad-based Saudi school held a charitable bazaar today in support of Pakistani orphans. The event, held at Al-Bayt Al-Saudi under the patronage of the wife of the Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, Al-Joharah bint Abdullah Al-Arifi, was attended by Pakistani Minister of Information Dr. Firdous Asheq A’awan; Chairman of the Pakistani Exchequer Committee Zumurak Khan; the wives of the Pakistani Chiefs of the General Staff; the wives of several ambassadors; and a number of female social and civil activists. Dr. A’awan and Al-Arifi co-opened the “souk,” the proceeds of which will be donated to needy orphans in Pakistan. During his remarks, Dr. A’awan lauded the government of Saudi Arabia for its continuous support for Pakistan.
