Kingdom condemns terrorist explosion in Bahrain

Saudi Arabia has condemned the terrorist explosion that took place in the Bahraini village of Al-Akr on Monday, in which seven policemen were injured. Denouncing the action as an attempt to threaten the safety and unity of the people of Bahrain, the Kingdom once again pledged to stand with its neighbor and to help it maintain its sovereignty, independence and unity.
In his own statement issued today, Secretary General of the Jeddah-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu also condemned the attack. He confirmed the OIC’s firm position against all forms of terrorism and called for concerted international efforts to combat terrorism and punish its perpetrators.
