IIRO distributes aid to Congolese refugees in Uganda

The Jeddah-based International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO), an affiliate of the Muslim World League, has distributed the first batch of urgent aid to Congolese refugees in Uganda. According to IIRO Acting Secretary General Ihsan bin Saleh Tayyib, the delivery included 10,000 kilograms of flour and a similar amount of peanuts; 6,000 liters of oil; 2,000 blankets and a similar number of gallons of water; and hand plows. The Saudi aid benefitted a total of 2,000 families, each consisting of at least five people.
