Prince Nayef attends Kuwaiti celebrations

On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Prime Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz attended the national celebrations of Kuwait today, marking the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its independence, the 20th anniversary of its liberation, and the 5th anniversary of the ascension to power of Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Alongside the Kuwaiti Emir and other senior officials, Prince Nayef watched a military parade and an air show that included troops from the coalition that took part in the 1991 liberation of Kuwait. Saudi soldiers from the Royal Saudi Land Forces and aircraft from the Royal Saudi Air Force participated in both events. Prince Nayef was accompanied by Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz; Chief of the Saudi General Staff Saleh bin Ali Al-Mohayya; Saudi Ambassador to Kuwait Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Fayez; and a number of other Saudi officials.
