Prince Nayef arrives in Kuwait for anniversary celebrations

Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received Second Deputy Prime Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz at his palace in Kuwait City this evening. Prince Nayef is in the country to represent the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz at the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of Kuwait’s independence, the 20th anniversary of its liberation following the First Gulf War and the 5th anniversary of the Emir of Kuwait’s ascension to the throne.
The meeting was attended by Heir Apparent Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah; Speaker of the Parliament Jassem bin Mohammed Al-Khurafi; Deputy Commander of the National Guard Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah; and Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The Saudi delegation included Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Gen. Saleh bin Ali Al-Mohayya; his deputy, Gen. Hussein bin Abdullah Al-Gubail; and Saudi Ambassador to Kuwait Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Fayez.
