King Abdullah and visiting Afghan president hold talks

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and visiting Afghan President Hamid Karzai held a meeting at the monarch’s farm in Al-Janadriyah on the outskirts of Riyadh this evening. The two leaders discussed bilateral relations and international efforts to help Afghanistan achieve security and stability. During the meeting, King Abdullah decorated President Karzai with the King Abdulaziz Medal.

The session was also attended by Riyadh Governor Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz; Assistant Chief of General Intelligence Prince Abdulaziz bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz; Minister of Hajj Dr. Fu’ad Al-Farsi; Afghan Minister of Foreign Affairs Zalmai Rasoul; and other senior Saudi and Afghan officials.
President Karzai and his delegation arrived in the Kingdom yesterday to perform Umrah. Last night, the group visited the Grand Mosque in Makkah and this morning they went to the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.
