King Abdullah receives calls from Italian, German leaders

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz received a telephone call from Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi yesterday. During the call, King Abdullah, who is in New York recovering from successful back surgery, reassured the Italian leader about his health. Bilateral relations and regional and international developments were also discussed.

On Friday, King Abdullah received a telephone call from German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who also asked after the Saudi monarch’s health. The King thanked Chancellor Merkel for her concern, and then the two discussed bilateral relations and international events.
