In this context, the ministers stressed the importance of supporting international efforts to end the bloodshed in Syria, while helping the Syrian people achieve their aspirations and maintain the security, unity and independence of their country. They emphasized the importance of aiding displaced Syrians, especially with the onset of winter. The Cabinet praised the directives of the King to provide urgent emergency relief worth $10 million for displaced Syrians in Jordan, along with the Kingdom’s pledge, announced at the Marrakesh Conference, to provide $100 million in aid to the Syrian people.
Finally, the Cabinet commended the outcome of the emergency meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Arab League, which was held in Cairo yesterday.
Addressing its remaining agenda items, the Cabinet approved the reconstitution of the Board of Directors of the Jeddah Company for Development and Urban Development for a period of three years; approved the United Nations Convention against Corruption, adopted by the U.N.
