King Abdullah, Syrian President hold meeting

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz met at his ranch in Al-Janadriyah this evening with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, who is on a state visit to the Kingdom. During their talks,
the two leaders discussed the overall situation in the Arab world, particularly the stalled Mideast peace process and efforts towards Arab unity. King Abdullah and President Al-Assad affirmed their support for the Yemeni government and its people, stressing the need to protect the security, stability and territorial integrity of that country. Bilateral relations and international developments were also a central topic of conversation.
The meeting was attended by Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz; Riyadh Governor Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz; and Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal.
Later, King Abdullah held a dinner reception for the Syrian leader, after which President Al-Assad departed Riyadh for Jeddah.
