Saudi Arabia has handed over $20 million to Sudan to ease the suffering caused by floods this past year. The aid also comprised material support, environmental sanitation and foodstuffs.
Saudi Ambassador to Sudan Muhammad Alkalbani recently delivered the grant to Sudanese authorities in Khartoum.
Saudi Arabia originally pledged the $20 million to Sudan in August 2007. The Kingdom also sponsored an airlift that delivered more than 300 tons of relief supplies to the stricken East African nation.
