OIC Secretary-General condemns violence in Lebanon

The Secretary-General of the Jeddah-based Organization of the Islamic Conference, Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, today condemned yesterday’s violence in Lebanon. In a statement, Ihsanoglu called on all the Lebanese parties to be prudent and to recognize the risks that threaten the future of the country. He also urged efforts to restore calm in Lebanon and provide an appropriate atmosphere for returning to dialogue.
