Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali Al-Naimi met with the chairman of China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Ma Kai, in Beijing today.
The meeting focused on Saudi-Chinese cooperation in the area of joint investments and Chinese imports of Saudi oil. The international oil market was also discussed.
In remarks to the press after the meeting, Al-Naimi said that the economic and oil cooperation between the two countries is steadily growing, especially after Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz’s visit to China last year. He also commented that he expects Chinese imports of Saudi oil to continue in the future.
